Follow the Flowers: Atlanta Botanical Garden Photo Walk

Flowers are taking center stage in this year’s Georgia Photographic Competition specialty category, and we have a perfect opportunity to get inspired.

Join GPPA for a photo walk at the Atlanta Botanical Garden led by Lisa Hill. Lisa has a beautiful eye for floral imagery, and her award-winning image, Dahlia C Curve, is a wonderful example of how a flower photograph can become something more than a simple botanical study. With thoughtful composition, color, light, and movement, flowers can become graceful, expressive, and deeply artistic.

This walk is a chance to slow down, look closely, and create with intention. Whether members are preparing images for competition or simply want to spend a morning photographing in one of Atlanta’s most inspiring gardens, this will be a lovely way to gather, learn, and create together.

Please note that participants are responsible for their own Atlanta Botanical Garden admission and on-site parking. Weekday admission is currently $27.95 online or $29.95 in person for adults. Garden members receive complimentary admission. Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended. Tickets can be purchased at https://atlantabg.org/tickets/

Most photographers approach holiday sessions as quick, high-volume “Santa minis.” The result is predictable: low pricing, rushed interactions, and clients who come once but never return. This class is about building something entirely different. In this one-day intensive, Javon Longieliere breaks down the exact system he uses to create The Santa Experience, a fully immersive, story-driven holiday offering that clients anticipate, invest in, and return to year after year. This is not a posing class. This is not a preset class. This is a complete system built around experience design, client psychology, and high-value sales. And you won’t just hear about it, you’ll see it in action.
